ON THE ROAD
Hello! Have I got a story for you.
It's a great tale about how I was lost and then I was found. My master stepped into my cage at the animal shelter. When I heard the word, "Come," I obeyed and followed. That's when my life was changed forever.
It would be great to meet you. I'll even bring my master to your church or school to read my book, show you my tricks and sign a few copies of my book or DVD. You can dial 704-839-6790 to set up a visit. Hope to see you soon!
COME TRAVEL WITH ME
I am on a journey! A week ago I noticed the kind of activity in my family that made me realize we were getting ready for a trip. I love traveling! Do you?
I know when summer comes to an end I get to take a road trip with my family. I get so excited as I watch the preparations for our journey. Suitcases, coolers, clothes bags, pillows, and my dog bed get packed into the car.
Do you ever travel with your family? What do you pack?
I stand around because I don’t want to get left behind. As soon as a door to the car is open, I hop in. I would rather watch the packing from inside, that way I can relax. I am not going to get out of the car if I can help it.
Did I tell you I don’t want to be left behind!
Finally when we leave we drive for hours and hours. Every once in a while we stop. I get to take a walk in a totally new place. I tell you the new sounds and smells completely excite me. I can hardly believe there are so many adventures in the world.
Do you like adventures? I would like to hear about one of your favorite adventures.
My family always gives me a treat and a drink when it is time to get back in the car and continue our journey.
I really like to travel. I think I like going places with my family because it reminds me how much my family cares for me. They never let me out of their sight!
You know you have a Master who cares for you? He never lets you out of His sight. He watches over you and wants you to know how much He loves you!
Ask someone in your home to read you the story when Jesus walked through Jericho and a blind man wanted to see Jesus.(Matthew 20:29-33) My story is a lot like that blind man’s story. My master saw that I needed to be set free. He came to me and asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
I knew one thing: I wanted out of that kennel in that animal shelter. My master heard my cry, he reached out to me, and asked me to follow him. Today I stay as close to my master as I can – all the time!

BEE FACTS
Today my master looked out the window and screamed. The scream sounded like a hoop and a holler for joy.
“Bees! We have bees!”
There on the bush crawling and buzzing all around the flowers I saw bees. Lots of bees!
Why the joy? Why the celebration?
Did you know that bees are experiencing a disease like the human plague that wiped out tens of thousands of people several centuries ago?

The bees of the world are sick and they are dying.
Scientists believe the bee killer is COLONY COLLAPSE DISORDER.
Colony is a name like neighborhood. Bees live in colonies.
Collapse means to fall down and maybe even be totally destroyed.
Disorder means something gone wrong. It is the opposite of order.
Poor bees. They are creatures like me. I hope someone finds a way to help them.
Do you know how important bees are?
Bees are pollinators. That means they move pollen from one plant – flower, to another. The movement of pollen is the first step in the development of seeds You know that seeds grow to be plants. Plants feed animals and people. We need food to live. We need bees!

I know that a buzzing bee can be a frightening experience. We don’t want them to land on us. But we do want them to land on flowers. Next time you see a bee, be glad, don’t be scared. Just walk away.
God created all the animals. He told humans to take care of them. (from Genesis 1:28)
How are you taking care of the animals God created?

SPRING IS FOR SNIFFING
Do you like spring? I wonder if you like to go outside like I do? I like to sniff out everything that went into hiding during the winter. You might find it interesting to go outside and see what has happened since last fall. The boys and girls in my neighborhood are playing in the creek behind my house. They have lots of fun exploring out there. I know because I watch them all the time and I hear their happy voices.

Do you play ball with your family and friends or do you draw pictures on the driveway with chalk?
I like to walk around in my master’s garden and smell all the new fresh scents. I get really excited when I smell frogs and turtles coming out from their winter nap.
Last spring I found a great BIG turtle all covered in mud, just emerging into a new season! Here is a picture.

What do you think? Do you believe he was happy to crawl out from the mud and get cleaned up? I wonder what his plans for the spring and summer were. What are your plans? Right now I am happy to sniff around and find new treasures.

TRAVELING WITH MY MASTER
Before I met THE boys and girls my master read my story. She said they were all so well behaved and I believe her after seeing how everyone responded to me when I came in. I felt so important. When I came in the room, everyone clapped.
WOW – do you know how that makes a person feel? I am just a dog.
Then the favorite part of my visit took place. I got to show the children all my tricks. I like that part because I see children smiling and hear them laughing. If I can make them happy that makes me happy.
I want to say something. I heard some of the children and their parents saying they thought I was tired or didn’t like signing my book. It is not that I am tired or don’t like signing books. I LIKE running and playing just like YOU. Who likes to sit still? Not me!
But – I have learned that my master knows what is best. If my master asks me to be still to sign books for children, I obey because I think each one of you wanted your book signed. Some times we have to do things we don’t like to do.
Thousands of years ago Jesus did something He didn’t want to do. He even asked His Father to take "this" away. Jesus didn’t want to have to die on a cross. He went to the cross for you. He obeyed His Father. Today, because Jesus obeyed, anyone who believes in Him has the very best Master ever! Guess what, Jesus went to His Father’s house and is building mansions for those who follow Him. One day, if Jesus is your Master, you will get to follow Him to the palace he has prepared for you.
You know, kind of like me when my master took me From the Pound to the Palace!
Thanks for inviting me to come over to play with you!
In my master’s footsteps,
Air
